Ashlyn M.
Write. design. REpeat.
I'm Ashlyn. Welcome to my portfolio & my "niche" - the place where you can check out all of my passions, projects, skills and stories.
I'm a student, freelance writer, amateur graphic designer, SPFX makeup lover, costume assistant & stitcher, novelist and scriptwriter.

I love writing & creating art. Since I'm passionate about quite a few career paths and not quite sure where I'll end up, I've collected a variety of skills in graphic design, new media, writing, stitching, draping, patterning, wardrobe (dressing), styling and hair & makeup.

I offer freelance graphic design and writing. Most of my stories (and now, a script!) are available on Wattpad, an online writing platform.

Contemporary Design: Control the Future
A time travel adventure stage play.

Characters designed: Dr. Alan, Asher, Jones, Baker, Annie, Penelope, Zombie Joe, Creature

Vision: In approaching the story I drew from BACK TO THE FUTURE, BLADE RUNNER, THE MATRIX, contemporary street style, skate culture, and early 2000s tween fashion, along with the work of designers such as Alexander Wang, Demna Gvasalia (Vehements), James Jebbia (Supreme), Miu Miu, etc.

Jones wears a bright orange puffer vest as a nod to Marty McFly. The rest of his outfit is based around a simple teenage uniform – jeans, high tops, and a graphic tee – and he wears his watch as both as symbol and a literal timekeeping / timesaving device throughout the story.
Baker - wealthy professor, dapper in tailored blue suit and bright tie.
The Creature - bright, wounded, inspired by Cirque de Soleil designs, heavily decorated but built with consideration for movement.
